Osberton Summer Charity Ride

On Sunday the 2nd of June we will be co-hosting a wonderful fund raising charity ride. This is a great opportunity in conjunction with The Readyfield Bloodhounds to join us for more than 2 hours of riding over the fabulous Osberton estate which is a great privilege as this land is not usually available for the public to ride over. We will be organising 4 different groups according to ability and each group will leave at slightly staggered times with the more experienced people wishing to have a faster ride leaving first. The middle group will be similar to the first group and the last group to leave will be the slightly more sedately paced group. Please note that the whole course is fully optional regards the jumps and the reason for the groups is for safety. We will also be providing a smaller route for those that wish to attend on lead rein. Each group will have a qualified first aider within it and there will also be first aiders on the ground should they be needed. There will be quad bike outriders should anyone need assistance along the way. We would ask that everyone be mounted by 12.15pm with the aim of the first group setting off at 12.30pm. All proceeds from the ride will be shared between Fight Bladder Cancer and Children's Leukemia research charities. This ride is in support of two regular RBH riders whom we hope will be joining us on the day. Entry price for the ride is £30 for adults and £15 for under 18's. There will be a tombola /raffle on the day and refreshments will be available to purchase. Parking will be at Park Farms which will be signposted on the day with RBH meet signs. In case of hot weather we will ensure that there are water stations along the route for your horse and yourselves. Hard hats MUST be worn on the day and we advise body protectors also be worn but that is at each riders personal discretion. We also strongly advise that each rider ensures they are fully insured for both themselves and their horses. There will be photographers on the day to capture your smiles and we are hoping to attract coverage of the event from at least one or two equestrian magazines so bear this in mind when deciding what to wear. Please remember that this day is in conjunction with RBH and as such the usual rules of courtesy and respect from all riders and to each other is expected.
